Note on the Round 17 match between Brunswick and Camberwell played on 19 August 1950
This match does not appear in the final ladder. The final result was: Brunswick 10-14-74 Camberwell 9-15-69.
It was variously reported that Brunswick's winning goal came:
- 'some seconds after the final bell' - Argus report of 21 Aug 1950
- ‘15 seconds after the bell’ - The Age report of 21 Aug 1950
Camberwell was to lodge an appeal against the winning goal.
Round 17 and 18 ladders included the result, but it was not included in the final Round 19 ladders that appeared in The Age and the Argus and therefore does not appear in the above final ladder for 1950.
